Ok, so I’m paraphrasing Britney’s iconic classic song here. But seriously, Mindfulness. Over the past few years it’s become more and more popular. Too popular maybe? I know sometimes that even I see too much of it, despite being a big fan.
The issue with something being so popular is that there will always be a lot of people wanting to commercialise it. At least 2 Mindfulness apps are now worth $250 million. If you can make more money by stamping the word ‘Mindful’ on something, people will. And it can be sold as some magical fix to all the world’s problems. It’s not, and it’s not for everyone.
This is why I often do a talk called “Mindfulness: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”. Because there really are different sides to it.
If you want to have a look at ‘real Mindfulness’ and how it can help you, drop me a message and we can arrange a chat.
